Heitland, W. & J. Freise (2001): Verbreitung der Roßkastanien-Miniermotte, Cameraria ohridella (Lep., Gracillariidae) in Deutschland [Distribution of the horse-chestnut leaf miner, Cameraria ohridella (Lep., Gracillariidae) in Germany]. Mitt. Dtsch. Ges. Allg. Angew. Ent. 13: 131-134.

The horse-chestnut leaf miner, a pest of up to now unknown origin, entered Bavaria (Germany) in 1992 and colonized major parts of Germany in only 7 years. In autumn 2000 it was present in Schleswig-Holstein as far north as Kiel. Factors influencing the population density, like climatic conditions, soil structure and the removal of foliage are discussed.
